SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Placid girls lacrosse team secured a 15-1 road victory over the Franklin Academy (Malone) Huskies on Monday. The win marked SLP’s third in a row since kicking off the season on March 31.

SLP played a solid all-around game with six different players scoring and only allowing three shots on goal defensively. Whenever Malone gained possession of the ball, SLP applied pressure at both ends of the field to cause 17 turnovers.

Tyler Burth led the way with six goals, while Emma Clark and Lizzie Harvey scored three each. Maya Garrison, Juliana Tremblay and Norah Galvin also scored for SLP. Clark, Burth, Tremblay, Galvin and Ireland Cassidy added assists.

SLP was slated to take on the Canton Golden Bears on Wednesday. The team will then take two weeks off for spring break before their next game on April 29 against Salmon River.

Starting at $4.75/week.
