Storm hoops top Larries
SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake boys basketball team battled back from a rocky start Tuesday, to top the St. Lawrence Larries 75-52 at home in a non-league contest.
The Red Storm, which improved to 11-5 overall with the win, surrendered a 22-6 lead after the first quarter, before responding with a 25-8 run to claim the lead at halftime.
Cedar Crist scored a game-high 28 points for Saranac Lake, while Mik Denkenberger added 20. Gunner Harrison also reached double figures with 14 points. Alius Martelle added eight points and Connor Gillis had five.
The team was slated to take on the Peru Nighthawks on Wednesday evening, before traveling to AuSable Valley for a matchup with the Patriots at 7:30 p.m.
