LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid girls basketball team suffered a 35-28 road loss to the Chazy Eagles on Wednesday.

The Blue Bombers’ Ellie Shipman led all scorers with 14 points, while Anisa Cecunjanin added nine and Margaret Thatcher had three.

Carly LaPierre paced Chazy with 11 points. Kennedy Columbus and Paige Dumars recorded nine points each.

Lake Placid’s girls squad, which dropped to 2-6 overall, will host the Keene Beavers at 6:30 p.m. today.
