SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake boys and girls cross country teams recorded a team sweep in Tuesday’s meet at AuSable Valley High School.

The Red Storm boys topped the AuSable Valley Patriots 22-26 and beat the Plattsburgh Hornets 25-31. Saranac Lake’s girls team beat AuSable Valley 20-41 and Plattsburgh 24-35.

Saranac Lake’s Jake Kollmer was the top boys runner in 18 minutes, 12 seconds. Teammate Keaton Daley (19:00) finished in fourth place while three other Red Storm runners cracked the top 10. Ebin Meissner (19:57) placed eighth; Emmett VanBuskirk (20:06) was ninth; and Alex Evans (20:07) earned 10th.

On the girls side, five runners also finished inside the top 10 for Saranac Lake. Asa Bruno led the way with a third place finish in 24:18, while teammate Eloise Zobel (24:29) followed behind in fourth.

The team had strong contributions from Gwen Haney (24:50) in sixth; Lizzie Harvey (24:55) in seventh and Nora Daley (25:41) in ninth.

The Patriots’ Kaelin Sulfa (23:37) was the overall winner, followed by Plattsburgh’s Abby Henley (24:18) in second.

The Red Storm will travel to Camp Dudley in Westport for its next race at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday for a meet against Moriah/Boquet Valley, Lake Placid and Ticonderoga.
