LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid volleyball team suffered a 3-2 home loss to the Saranac Central Spartans on Tuesday. The Blue Bombers fell by scores of 25-12, 21-25, 20-25, 25-14 and 15-13.

Norah Galvin, a senior, paced Lake Placid with 14 assists, 12 digs, 10 points, 10 kills and one ace.

Sophomore Ireland Cassidy had 11 points, seven digs, four aces, four kills and three assists. Brooke Meyer, a junior, chipped in with seven points, six kills, four digs and two aces.

The Blue Bombers, which dropped to 2-5 overall, are slated to take on Saranac Lake on the road at 4:30 p.m. today.

After winning thee straight matches, the Saranac Lake volleyball team was topped 3-0 to the Beekmantown Eagles on Tuesday. The host Eagles won by scores of 25-12, 25-12 and 25-19.

The Red Storm had strong performances from Emily Gay and Rori Chenaille-Schenk. Gay had eight points, four kills, one ace and one dig. Chenaille-Schenk had seven digs, one ace and one points.

Alice LaDue recorded six assists, four digs and two points for Saranac Lake.

With the loss, the Red Storm are currently 5-2 overall. The team will host Lake Placid today.
