The host Blue Bombers used a strong defensive performance to push the Bobcats deep into overtime, where Northern Adirondack finally prevailed 1-0 on the match’s lone goal with 1:04 left in the contest.

The Bobcats’ Kaleb Guay scored the game-winner on a pass from Hayden Bartlemus. Northern Adirondack held a 28-3 edge in shots over Lake Placid.

While the Blue Bombers had limited chances, the team did have some opportunities on shots from Seb Cecunjanin.

Lake Placid’s goaltender Will Landriault had an outstanding performance, recording 23 saves in net. Northern Adirondack’s Parker Manor had two saves.

With the loss, the Blue Bombers drop to 2-4 overall. The team will hit the road for a match against Seton Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, before returning home to face Saranac Lake on Monday.

Plattsburgh 3, Lake Placid 0

The Lake Placid girls volleyball team fell 3-0 to the Plattsburgh Hornets on Tuesday by scores of 25-11, 25-16 and 25-18.

Norah Galvin led the Blue Bombers once again with seven points, five assists, four aces, four digs and four kills. Brooke Meyer had a solid performance with three digs, three kills, three points and two aces, while Ireland Cassidy chipped in with three kills and two digs.

Lake Placid, which dropped to 1-4 overall, will take on the Northeastern Clinton Cougars at 6 p.m. on Monday.
