Thank you for Rotary Show support
To the editor:
Winter Carnival celebrates community in many ways. The Rotary Club of Saranac Lake extends special thanks to the people who helped us stage our 74th annual Winter Carnival Rotary Show on the second Friday night of Carnival. We couldn’t do it without the help of local friends and professionals. A terrific Winter Carnival Committee is the backbone.
This year we are especially appreciative of our local “Music Legends.” Frankie and the Moonlighters returned to rock the stage with classic Beatles tunes. The Saranac Lake Hootenanny brought back the Doors for a pre-show treat. And the audience got to sample the story-telling of Nathalie Thill. We always love our different dancers, from the Carnival pages and court to the Dance Sanctuary. Russ Feher brought his talents to the Harrietstown Town Hall’s sound system to deliver a rocking show. Barry Brogan and Diana and Bob Gill managed the spotlights. Joe Tally wrangled things back stage. The Saranac Lake Newcomers managed refreshments for Rotary. Adirondack Health printed our program. Many helped usher and manage a sold-out crowd safely in the beautiful town hall. The Rotary Dancers appreciate the onstage talents of friend of Rotary, Kim Wilkes. The own hall staff patiently helped us fit the pieces together for our yearly Carnival spectacle.
Additional thanks to Jacques DeMattos (Enterprise letter “Rotary Show,” Feb. 15) for additional details about Rotary’s long history with Winter Carnival. 2026 will be at least the 75th Winter Carnival Rotary Show and Rotary in Saranac Lake will be celebrating its own Centennial. We look forward to sharing another rousing Carnival celebration with the community.
2025 brought together a great audience and a great show. We love being able to showcase local talent and boost Carnival into its final weekend. Our heartfelt thanks to the Saranac Lake Community.
