To the editor:

On behalf of St. Bernard’s School, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our incredible school, parish and local community for the overwhelming support of the Undy 500 initiative of St. Bernard’s School’s Kindness Club. Thanks to your generosity, we collected an astounding 1,417 pairs of socks and underwear to benefit students and families in Buncombe County Schools who were affected by the hurricanes this fall.

Our Kindness Club members added notes of encouragement to each donated item, hoping that both the items and the heartfelt messages would bring comfort to the children and families who need them most. A special thanks to the generous local supporter who, upon seeing our boxes at the post office, anonymously paid for the shipping costs. Your act of kindness made us truly believe in the profound truth that blessings flow abundantly to those who share their goodness with others and how acts of love and generosity create ripples of hope and comfort in our world.
