Learn about NYS ballot Prop 1
To the editor:
On Friday, Oct. 25, Adirondack Voters for Change is hosting an informational session on Proposition 1, the Equal Rights Amendment to the state constitution. Voters have an opportunity to modernize New York’s constitution by flipping the ballot over and voting for Prop 1. We invite the public to attend the session to better understand what Prop 1 is — and what it’s not — before you vote.
Get the Facts on Prop 1 at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25 at the Saranac Lake Free Library. Refreshments will be served.
The program will begin with a factual slide presentation by policy analyst Alison King, PhD. Kelly Metzgar will follow with comments on the impact Prop 1 has on the LGBTQ-plus community. Then time for questions and answers. Diane Fox, Saranac Lake Central School District superintendent will be in attendance to help field questions that may arise regarding youth.
