To the editor:

As a registered Independent voter in Raquette Lake and resident of Camp Uncas, I am proud to vote to re-elect Mitch Edelstein as our Long Lake town justice.

Over the past 12 years, Mitch has given dedicated service as a town judge, with fairness, discretion, preparation, calmness and trust. I have observed how much time Judge Mitch has spent to stay up to date on the laws and changing rules for the court.

Being a town judge is not political. It is a significant service to the community, supporting fair justice to fellow citizens of Long Lake and Raquette Lake. Judge Mitch has the responsibility of seeing a wide range of cases from vehicle and traffic violations to domestic violence by both men and women. He brings a calm and non-emotional presence to the court room.

Re-elect Judge Mitch on the “Equal Justice” party line. Judge Mitch deserves our community support.
