Why does Jonah Goldberg get a big half page in our newspaper? Where is the other side of the argument? I’ll tell you where.

Mr. Goldberg and Ms. Stefanik (choke) try to make you think former Rep. Liz and former VP Dick Cheney are of no consequence. The Cheneys and many other Republicans have endorsed VP Harris. Why? Because she is a “steady hand.” It’s patriotic. They actually care about our country.

VP Harris and Gov. Walz are patriotic Americans who will not let this country be compromised. She/they will keep this country on an even keel. They are trying to portray her as some “radical left” or communist. … That’s rich. Donald Trump can’t stop kissing the bloody murderous dictator Putin’s backside, yet he keeps calling her “Comrade Kamala” deliberately mispronouncing her name to disparage her. I fear for Ukraine, Europe and NATO if he gets back in.

President Harris will continue to have the best national security team, the best military leaders, the best Department of Justice, the best Department of Education, Health and Welfare and on. She understands the foolishness of Trump’s big tariff idea, which economists have said will add higher costs to the American family. The countries importing goods don’t pay the tariffs, the consumer does. I’ve been a retail manager with Mobil Oil and know how profit margins are maintained. If goods cost more, then the retailers will increase the price to maintain their profits. They know how much it costs to run their particular business and what to charge.

Other hair-brained ideas by Trump is that he wants to replace the Affordable Care Act (aka Obamacare) with “concepts.” … This means he has nothing.

He keeps hammering away about immigrants … yet he is the one who killed the bipartisan legislation that would have added more border guards. … He said, “blame me.” For the fentanyl crossing the border? We do. The last time that guy was president, children were taken away from their parents. I don’t believe that all have yet been reunited. That, my friends, is heinous, and he won’t rule it out again. Many of the immigrants have fled to the U.S. for safety reasons for their children and yet he endangered them further. Ms. Stefanik has apparently introduced legislation blaming the Biden administration for the border situation. The Republican majority thinks it’s a good idea. The problem — it’s all based on a lie.

Then there is the abortion issue. Donald Trump packed the Supreme Court with people who would and did overturn Roe v. Wade. Now they are even talking about doing away with contraception. Little 12-year-old girls raped — forced to carry a baby? It could cost them their life. Women bleeding from miscarriages forced to wait it out until they are on the verge of death because doctors are afraid of being jailed for treating them? Women with a tubal pregnancy unable to have an abortion but it could kill them so they have to wait till they are at death’s door. These are wives, daughters-why would you endanger their lives? Do you know that women in red states have the highest maternal mortality (death) rates? Again, Trump did this. We blame him. My fellow women in this country deserve proper health care and to be treated with dignity. It’s their business. Not yours.

On the gender issue, Trump says you send your boy to school and teachers force him to have a sex change and he comes home a girl. Forgive me for rolling around laughing.

This brings us to dogs and cats … yes, really. For that man to stand on national TV and state that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, are kidnapping your pets and eating them really takes the cake. Who believes this foolishness? Worst thing is, it has now put these people in danger. Bomb threats already are being made because of made up lies. Now he says he will deport them. They are here legally, Mr. Trump.

Oh, one more thing he never delivered on was the wall. They built 42 miles of fence, which at one point fell down, with 1,400 miles yet to be done, but he said, “I know how to build things.” … Yeah, sure, just like we want someone who filed bankruptcy six times and because of his fraud in New York, he has an overseer who must approve everything in his own company. His CFO just got out of Rikers Island Prison. You seriously want someone who isn’t even allowed to run his own company to run our economy?

He drove the nation deeper into debt by adding $7.2 trillion to the national debt by giving himself and fellow rich people and corporations big tax breaks. What are we supposed to run the country on? Pay the military? Build weapons and maintain ships and subs? Pay for border guards, air traffic controllers, run the federal government and prisons?

Finally, I would ask everyone to please go to YouTube and watch Leon Panetta’s speech from the Democratic Convention. He is ex Army, ex CIA Director, ex Secretary of Defense. He knows from what he speaks. He says that VP Harris is a steady hand, and can be trusted as President. We can’t trust the other guy. He is out on bail … and faces more indictments. He should never be allowed to be president again after what he pulled on Jan. 6. He can’t tell the truth, about anything, if he even knows what he is talking about. He is a big talker, but does he deliver on his promises? Not much.
