5W Wednesdays, from Historic Saranac Lake

Historic Saranac Lake needs your help identifying the who, what, where, when and/or why of this photo. This little cottage was the second home of the Jones Family in Saranac Lake. Amy and D. Blair Jones came to Saranac Lake to seek treatment for Blair’s tuberculosis. We know it was located on Lake Street, but we aren’t sure exactly which house it is. Do you recognize it? Let us know by sending us a message or leaving a comment! (Photo provided — Historic Saranac Lake Collection, 2024.21.1.141. Gift of Lucy Jones Berk)

- A largely ice-covered AuSable River is seen in Wilmington on Tuesday at a seasonably normal flow. River levels are expected to rise today and tonight in response to warm temperatures and rainfall, peaking sometime around the middle of the daytime on Thursday. (Enterprise photo — Chris Gaige)
