Death notice: Ann E. Merkel
Word has been received of the death of Ann E. Merkel, age 86, of Saranac Lake, who died Sunday, March 9 at Elderwood of Uihlein at Lake Placid.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday March 15 at Church of St. Luke the Beloved Physician, in Saranac Lake with Rev. Eric William Olsen officiating. Burial will take place at St. John’s Cemetery in Paul Smiths in the spring.
Friends wishing to remember Ann E. Merkel may make memorial contributions to High Peaks Hospice in care of the funeral home. A complete obituary will be available on Wednesday.
