Stephen J. Duprey

He was born on July 29, 1945, the son of Philip and Mae (Strack) Duprey of Ray Brook.

Steve attended St. Bernard’s School and Saranac Lake High School, graduating with the class of 1963. He was a member of the SLHS track team and also enjoyed riding his bike, golfing and hiking.

Steve regularly attended Saturday masses at St. Bernard’s Church.

Stephen is survived by his sisters Dale Prividera (and her companion Rico Cannone) of Albany, Susan (William) Thompson of North Port, Florida, and Mary Duprey of Slingerlands; sister-in-law Margaret (Madge) Duprey of Saranac Lake; and brother-in-law Mario Prividera of Leland, North Carolina. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Steve was predeceased by his sister Helen Turmel and nephew Michael Turmel; brothers Philip (Bear) Duprey and Charles (Cubby) Duprey; nephew Philip Michael Duprey, Jr.; and sister-in-law Mya Duprey.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. There will be no calling hours. A mass and burial is planned for May.
