Daniel M. Mady-Moore
Daniel Michael Mady-Moore, of Keene Valley, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2024 at UVM Medical Center. He was born Oct. 5, 1948 to Vera and Joseph Mady in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was survived by one sister, Susan Fischer; two sons, Nate Mady and Tony Russell; one grandson, Cole Mady; his life partner, Christine Evans; her two daughters, Jennifer S. Danish and Jessica E. Jakobe, and their families. Dan was a tree surgeon and the sole proprietor of Skylight Tree Solutions.
Dan’s family will remember him as a larger-than-life figure in their collective lives who could build a mean fire, cook a beautiful steak, laugh heartily in conversation, and love his people and animals fiercely and devotedly. He was an avid golfer and loved time on the links with his sons.
Dan is responsible for creating and tending to some of the most beautiful views in the mountains of the Adirondacks, and he will be missed most especially by his partner of more than 30 years, Christine Evans.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 in Keene Valley at the First Congregational Church.
