Paul E. Galib
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Paul E. Galib, 79, on Monday, Nov. 4, 2024.
Paul was born in Albany and resided in Palmetto, Florida and Saranac Lake. He was the son of the late Alice and George S. Galib and predeceased by his sister, Carol Goes. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Carol Galib and his three children, Suzanne M. Galib of Rensselaer, Sandra J. Galib of Arlington, Virginia and George J. Galib (Heather Galib) of Schodack, New York. Also survived by his grandchildren, Jessica Layton, Josie Layton, Kafena Galib and nieces Alicia Goes Stewart and Michelle Murray.
Paul was a graduate of Albany High School. He served in the New York Army National Guard from 1965 to 1971. Always a hard worker, he worked his way up during his 33-year career with Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation in Albany and Ticonderoga. He retired as an Electric Planner in 2000 to enjoy his family and his cabin in the woods on Pork Bay, Upper Saranac Lake. He also enjoyed woodworking and sailing in Florida. He will always be in our thoughts.
