William J. LaBrake

Bill was born at on Feb. 23, 1952, in Vermontville, the son of Lawrence J. and Barbara (Bryant) LaBrake.

Bill grew up in Vermontville and graduated from Saranac Lake High School. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and especially snowmobiling. Bill was an independent contractor and worked throughout the Tri-Lakes and Florida.

Bill is survived by his daughter Gabrielle (Bevilacqua) Lewis and her husband Seamus. He is also survived by his two sisters: Mary LaBrake (Edward Martin) of Vermontville and Betty Callaghan of Chatworth, California, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father and his sister Carol LaBrake.

Funeral arrangements are in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Saranac Lake, NY 12983. Calling hours are scheduled to take place at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 27, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. A reception will follow at the Blue Line Brewery in Saranac Lake. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in the family plot at Union Cemetery in Vermontville.
