Blake K. Ferguson

Blake K. Ferguson, 9, of Champlain Street in Redford, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Saranac Lake on Sept. 3, 2013, the son of Michael and Katlynn (Plumadore) Ferguson.

Blake from day one came into this world with smiles. His smile and bright blue eyes captured and mesmerized all those who came across him. He loved music (Taylor Swift and Breaking Benjamin fan) and especially his cartoons. He was a major flirt with the ladies and loved school. He loved his dog Ember, who was protective of him and his sister. He had a laugh and smile that was contagious. He was loved and touched by so many people.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents: Katlynn Ferguson (Greg Budd) of Redford, and Michael Ferguson and his fiancee Cheryl Burcume of Plattsburgh; his sister Emily Ferguson; stepbrother Christopher Stevens (Adrienne) of Bloomingdale; stepsister Isabella Burcume of Plattsburgh; his grandparents Cherie and Gareth Plumadore of Redford; his grandfather David Ferguson of Greenville, South Carolina; his great-grandparents Joan and Fred Plumadore of Redford; his other great-grandparents James and Dorthy Ferguson of Greenville, South Carolina; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Blake was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Terri Jo Welch, step-grandmother Sylvia Carter, cousin Brianna Rose Savage and his dog Ember.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday, July 9 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home, 294 Mannix Road, Peru. A funeral service will be held in the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Michael Jablonski officiating. Burial will be private in the Church of the Assumption Cemetery, Church Street, Redford.
