Steven M. Sullivan
Steven M. Sullivan, 62, of Saranac Lake, passed away Saturday, May 28 after a battle with kidney disease.
Steve was born March 31, 1960 in Syracuse, the son of Hilda Sullivan and Wayne (Kathy) Sullivan. He graduated from SUNY Oswego with a degree in meteorology.
Steve married the love of his life, Donna M. (Fox) Sullivan and they have been married for 32 years. They lived 16 years in the Syracuse area then relocated to the Adirondacks. Steve had a successful tenure at East Syracuse Chevrolet for 17 years before finding his niche at Cashier Furniture in Saranac Lake where he worked until his passing. He was actively involved in St. Agnes Parish, Lake Placid where he served on the Parish Council and was dedicated to fundraising for St. Agnes Catholic School. Steve loved to spend time playing golf, riding snowmobiles, kayaking, camping and boating in the Adirondacks.
Steve was a member of a large loving family and is survived by his wife, Donna, his parents, and his siblings Lisa Sullivan, Jim Sullivan and Kylie Miller (Matt), as well as three nephews, Benjamin, Zachary and Malcolm, a niece, Sarah Sullivan, and two grandnephews, Cameron and Zenon. In addition, Steve leaves behind a mother-in-law, Carol Fox, sister-in-law, Laura Bennett (Dave), nephews Doug and Brad (Mary), brother-in-law, Dan Fox (Wendy), nephews Charlie and Emmett, Conner, Greg Fox (Mindy), and niece Abby.
Calling hours will be at the M. B. Clark, Inc., Funeral Home 2310 Saranac Ave., Lake Placid on Friday June 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at St. Agnes Church on Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m. Rev. John Yonkovig will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Agnes Church or the Saranac Lake Volunteer Ambulance Service.
