SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Rotary Club is excited to announce its upcoming annual Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Rotary Show, a cherished community tradition for more than 60 years.

This year’s event promises to continue the legacy of local talent and enthusiastic crowd support that has become a hallmark of the village’s winter season. The event takes place at the Harrietstown Town Hall on Friday. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a musical pre-show at 7 p.m. and the main show at 7:30 p.m.

The Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Rotary Show features a vibrant mix of performances showcasing the best of our local culture. Attendees will be treated to a spectacle of talent, including the Carnival Royalty, the High School Carnival Court’s dance routines, choral ensembles and a variety of musical, dance and entertainment acts performed by gifted local students and artists.

This year’s lineup includes local “Music Legends” such as Frankie and the Moonlighters, performing tributes to musical decades past, and preshow with the Saranac Lake Hootenanny presenting the Doors. The evening will conclude with a stirring, toe-tapping performance by the Rotary Dancers, presenting their rendition of “New York, New York.”

The Rotary Club thanks the community for its continued support, which has been instrumental in making this event a sold-out success year after year. All proceeds from the show will benefit the Rotary Community Grants Program, which is dedicated to serving local needs and fostering a stronger community. Previous grants have benefited the Saranac Lake Youth Center, Civic Center, food pantries, scholarships, and more.

Jasen Lawrence, who serves as the club’s president, extended an invite to the entire community, adding that the proceeds from the event have a direct impact locally.

“We are incredibly proud of our community, club members and especially the impact of the proceeds as they help serve local needs,” he said. “We invite everyone to join us for an evening of entertainment, celebration and community. We’re looking forward to celebrating together for another exciting show.”
