SARANAC LAKE — The Saranac Lake Department of Public Works will begin hydrant flushing next week.

Flushing will happen Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Park Avenue area, and Wednesday, Nov. 13 in the River Street and Helen Hill area, as well as on Thursday, Nov. 14 in the Lake Street area. Hours will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We are asking residents or businesses [that] experience dirty or discolored water to let their water taps run for approximately 15 minutes,” the department wrote in a news release.
