Jim Ames and Nichel Stone stand with a 1979 Datsun 620 pickup truck with “Bullet Side” accents which Ames recently drove all the way to Saranac Lake from Salem, Oregon. Ames’ son Paul, who lives locally, bought the truck in Salem, where Jim, and Paul’s sister Nichel live. Jim took the classic truck on the more than 3,000-mile journey across the country, and said it handled the trip well.
