LAKE PLACID — Lake Placid police are investigating a death discovered at a Sentinel Road residence and chiropractic office on Tuesday.

Sgt. Chuck Dobson said the Lake Placid Police Department responded to 6018 Sentinel Road at 9:26 a.m. Tuesday for a report of an unattended death. The High Peaks Optimal Health office, run by chiropractors Joseph and Rhiannon Clauss, is located there.

Essex County Coroner Jay Heald, of Elizabethtown, responded to the scene. He referred all questions to New York State Police, who assisted the Lake Placid Police Department at the scene. State Police did not respond to requests for more information.

Lake Placid police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, according to Dobson. He said that police should be able to provide more information soon, after the person’s family members are notified.
