RAQUETTE LAKE — The state Department of Environmental Conservation has announced the reopening of the Browns Tract Trail in the southwest Adirondacks after the landowners completed a forestry operation.

The trail was temporarily closed earlier this summer so the property owners could harvest timber, per their conservation easement agreement. The roughly 3,000-acre property is owned by Heartwood Forestry Fund, and offers public access to several trails.
