Local students named to Russell Sage Colleges fall Dean’s List

TROY — Nearly 600 students were named to the Fall 2024 Dean’s List at Russell Sage College.

“On behalf of the Russell Sage College community, it is my great pleasure to congratulate the fall 2024 Dean’s List students,” said Andrea Rehn, Ph.D., undergraduate dean. “We are very proud of their accomplishment!”

To be placed on the Dean’s List for the semester, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.50 or higher while carrying a minimum of 12 credits in courses graded A-F, with no grades of Incomplete.

The following local student made the list:

Local students earns Dean’s, President’s Lists recognition at Norwich University

NORTHFIELD, Vt. — The following students from the local area has been recognized on the President’s List and the Dean’s List at Norwich University for the Fall 2024 semester:

¯ Brice Callaghan of Vermontville, President’s List

¯ Noah Lowe of Vermontville, Dean’s List

Full-time undergraduate students, who earned a semester grade point average of 4.0 are awarded President’s List honors.

VTSU’s Ceilidh Cheeseman earns Fall Dean’s List honors

RANDOLPH CENTER, Vt. — Vermont State University is proud to recognize Ceilidh Cheeseman of Wilmington, for earning Dean’s List honors for the Fall 2024 semester.

Dean’s List designation is reserved for students who maintain full-time status and a semester grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

University of Rhode Island names area students to Fall Dean’s List

KINGSTON, RI — The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that an area student has been named to its Fall 2024 Dean’s List. They are:

SUNY New Paltz announces Dean’s List

NEW PALTZ — SUNY New Paltz announces its Dean’s List for the fall 2024 semester, a recognition for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

UAlbany announces fall Dean’s List

ALBANY — The Dean’s List at the University at Albany recognizes the outstanding academic achievements of full-time undergraduate students.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a grade point average of 3.25 or higher in their first semester of study and a GPA of 3.50 or higher in subsequent semesters.

The UAlbany Fall 2024 Dean’s List scholars include:

¯ Sabine Denkenberger of Lake Clear, majoring in human biology (intended)

¯ Avry Lavallee of Jay, majoring in ppen major

¯ Charlotte Mintz of Jay, majoring in political science (intended)

Local students named to fall President’s List at HVCC

TROY — A local student was among the more than 1,500 students named to the Fall 2024 President’s List at Hudson Valley Community College, and two local students were among the nearly 900 students were named to the Fall 2024 Dean’s List.

They include:

¯ Angela Howard of Saranac Lake, President’s List, who is studying in the individual studies academic program.

¯ Sophia Brandt of Upper Jay, Dean’s List, who is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

¯ Joel Hodgson of AuSable Forks, Dean’s List, who is studying in the non-matriculated academic program.

Each fall and spring term, the college’s President’s List names those full-time students and part-time students registered for at least six college credits who have a term average of between 3.5 and 4.0 and who received no grade of “D,” “F,” “I,” “Z,” or “W” on their record for that term. Students must have completed at least 12 college credits successfully. The Dean’s List recognizes those full-time students and part-time students registered for at least six college credits who have a term average of 3.0 to less than 3.5.
