Cuttaia Earns Bachelor’s Degree from Oneonta

ONEONTA — Ava Cuttaia of Tupper Lake was one of 160 SUNY Oneonta students who completed the requirements for a bachelor’s degree following the fall 2024 semester. Graduates were honored and recognized during fall commencement, held Dec. 8, 2024, in the Dewar Arena of the Alumni Field House. Cuttaia earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood/childhood education (B-6).

Local Potsdam students named to President’s List, Dean’s List

POTSDAM — The State University of New York at Potsdam recently named 774 students to the President’s List, in recognition of their academic excellence in the fall 2024 semester. The SUNY Potsdam students were honored for earning top marks by President Dr. Suzanne Smith.
This semester, local honorees include:
¯ Jack Armstrong of Lake Placid, whose major is music education
¯ Adrien Comeau of Long Lake, whose major is international studies
¯ Elaina Daniels of Tupper Lake, whose major is art studio
¯ Hayley Denis of Tupper Lake, whose major is English and creative writing
¯ Abbey Gavin of Lake Placid, whose major is early childhood/childhood education
¯ Sara Richards of AuSable Forks, whose major is exercise science
¯ Emma Robillard of Tupper Lake, whose major is early childhood/childhood education
¯ Reese Shambo of Jay, whose major is criminal justice studies
¯ Jonathan Zalewski of Saranac Lake, whose major is biology
Additionally, 179 students made the Dean’s List.
Local honorees include:
¯ Lily Karp of Wilmington, whose major is psychology
¯ Jenna Switzer of Tupper Lake, whose major is creative writing
