SARANAC LAKE - The Saranac Lake baseball team wrapped up its regular season schedule Tuesday with a 10-6 victory over Northern Adirondack.
The Red Storm have won three of their last four games and will bring a 6-4 record into the Section VII, Class B playoffs that begin later this week.
Saranac Lake poured it on late the game Tuesday, scoring nine of its 10 runs over the final four innings.
Logan Wood had a big day at the plate with a single and a triple. He also drove in four runs for the Red Storm. Derek Thurber and Trent Fitzgerald each doubled twice.
Starting pitcher Tristin Fitzgerald earned the victory on the mound. He was relieved in the fourth by Dylan Gunther.
Ethan King, Bailey Cross and Josh Juntunen led the Bobcats offensively. Northern Adirondack fell to 4-8 with the loss.
Lake Placid 7, Plattsburgh 6
LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid softball team scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday to walk off with a 7-6 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference victory over Plattsburgh.
Hanna Potter scored the winning run after reaching base on a game-tying, two-run single. Alexis Megliore brought in Potter with two outs to wrap up the win.
Carissa Kennedy earned the pitching victory after throwing all seven innings. She has won eight of the 11 games she has pitched this season.
Payton Barney singled and doubled, while teammate Liz Bimonte chipped in a double for the Blue Bombers, who had 10 hits as a team.
Jenna Worley paced the Hornets offensively with three singles, followed by teammate Samantha Swiesz with a single and double.
Lake Placid improved to 8-6 overall (6-4 CVAC) with the victory. Plattsburgh is 4-9 overall and 3-7 in league games.

MADRID - The Tupper Lake softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader Tuesday, falling 12-6 and 19-0 to Madrid-Waddington.
"They played extremely well the first game - they were tied after the first inning and stayed within one run until the bottom of the third," said Tupper Lake coach Crystal Boucher. "Malorie McLear pitched a solid game and the defense played really well with the offense showing great poise at base running."

TUPPER LAKE - The Tupper Lake boys and girls track and field teams swept the competition Tuesday, earning wins over Clifton-Fine and Salmon River.
Lizzie Zurek was a winner in the long jump with a distance of 14 feet, 5 inches. She won the high jump after clearing 4-7.
Katie Zurek was a two-time winner after placing first in both throwing events. She landed a 34-1.25 in the shot put and 103-7 in discus.
Jeremy Roussel won three events, taking the high jump with a 5-2. He was also part of two winning relay teams, joined by Thomas Barton, Zachary Boushie and Cody LaPierre in the 400 relay that finished in 55.79 and Matthew Varden, DJ Shaheen and Mitchell Harriman in the 1,600 relay that clocked a 4:22.81.
Shaheen was also part of the 3,200 relay that won in 12:16.23 and was first in the 3,200 with a 12:19.78.
