National Library Week

April 28, 2014
Adirondack Daily Enterprise
On April 15 Candy Wagner,
honorary spokesperson, (holding proclamation on right) read the proclamation declaring it National Library Week to a gathering of library board members, volunteers and patrons. Library Director Peter Benson stands next to Candy Wagner, with Board President Diane Peterson and Board Member Elizabeth Johnson. National Library Week, April 13 to 18, is a national observance sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries across the country. It is a time to celebrate the contribution of libraries and to promote them. The reading was followed by coffee and a cake sporting this year’s theme, “Lives Change @ the Library.”
