To the editor:
My name is Robert Schiller, and I would like to thank all of those health care providers who helped me during my recent treatment at the Adirondack Medical Center in Saranac Lake. You are all incredibly capable and caring in your different jobs. My 12-day stay at AMC was a challenging one, but you all helped me to get better, and many times you went above and beyond the call of duty.
Let me begin by thanking Dr. Claude Roland for his surgical skills, his undying dedication and his personal interest in his patients. I appreciate all you have done for me. Thank you to Upstate Medical student Sean McNamara for taking a personal interest. You have an amazing mentor, and you have what it takes to become a great surgeon.
Now for the hard part, trying to remember all of the nurses and others who helped me in ways you will never know. Kristin, Carolyn, Billie-Jo, Kyrstyn, Joanna, Carrie, Trish ("Sarge"), Bre, Laura, Lynnette, Mark, Eric, Maria and Megan are just some of the AMC "team" whom I will always remember and be grateful for. I apologize for not remembering all of you, but you are all appreciated so much. At least three of you came to visit me on your time off. So many others went out of their way to visit and chat. Some of you even shared some tears of joy with me. Thanks to the environmental specialists and cafeteria personnel.
Our community is extremely fortunate to have such quality health care. More importantly, our community is blessed with the most capable health care professionals in the country. Much love and gratitude to you all, and thank you for your exceptional level of care (and caring).
