Top of the world

January 21, 2014
Adirondack Daily Enterprise
Linda Horn, left, of Manassas, Va., and Andrea Call of Syracuse use their recorders to play a selection of Girl Scout songs including “I Love the Mountains” and “The Happy Wanderer” on top of Mount Van Hoevenberg Saturday. The two Girl Scout troop leaders came to the region to cross-country ski, but a lack of snow had them hiking instead. After Horn, who played a soprano recorder, and Call, who played an alto recorder, finished their songs, they told the Enterprise they planned on heading to Canada Sunday to continue their quest for snow.
