NEW YORK (AP) — Police are frantically searching for a 2-year-old girl who went missing at a Brooklyn park.

They say Ruhshona Kurbonova disappeared while playing near a lake in Propsect Park around 1:30 p.m., Saturday.

A police spokeswoman says the girl was with a 4-year-old relative at the time. He was found safe.

Divers are searching the lake and officers are combing the 585-acre park. A police helicopter is aiding in the search.

The 78th precinct is posting missing person posters.

They say Kurbonova is about 2-feet tall with a thin build and shoulder-length black hair.

She was last seen wearing a white shirt and shorts and pink sandals.

Police say as of 5:30 p.m. they haven't found any sign of her or heard from anyone with information on her whereabouts.
