Lake Placid food pantry relies on community

December 24, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

Thank you! Thank you to everyone who volunteered and contributed to the Lake Placid Ecumenical Charity Program, for all their help and support for the packaging and distributing of the Thanksgiving baskets. The ECP was able to distribute 381 baskets this year.

There is a special thank-you to Jerry Strack, Price Chopper, Hannaford, Subway and the Salvation Army. In addition to the baskets, the food pantry was able to assist 208 families, consisting of 366 adults and 100 children, with food for the month of November.

Without the aid of the community, the Ecumenical Charity Program would not be able to help those in need within our community. There is always a need for finanical and volunteer help, and it would truly be appreciated if you were to contact Linda Young at 518-523-9620 if you are willing to help. God bless all of you for the holiday and the new year. And to all who volunteered and contributed, thank you again.

Judith A. Clausing-Lundin
