Person hurt in Lake Placid collision

LAKE PLACID - One person was reportedly hurt in a two-car collision at noon Friday at the top of Riki Hill on Old Military Road, according to the Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department.

The Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service transported one person to Adirondack Medical Center in Lake Placid with what firefighters said were non-life-threatening injuries. State police investigated the collision, but no further details were available as of press time.

Firefighters responded with two trucks and 14 members, provided traffic control and were back in service at 1 p.m.
