Whitney H. Germaine

November 1, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

Whitney Helen Germaine, of Salt Lake City, valiantly lost her battle from a long and painful illness and left us on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013.

Whitt was born in Fort Collins, Colo., on Sept. 5, 1969, to Susan Finn Germaine of Logan, Utah, and Bob Germaine of Riverside, Utah. She attended school in Logan and graduated from Westminster College in 1991 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and what Whitt could do with her black and white photos never ceased to astound us.

Whitt's intense love of music, her generosity, enthusiasm for life, kindness, loyalty and boundless energy were enjoyed by all who knew her, whether it be painting and repainting, decorating and redecorating her crazy little house, her gorgeous gardens and flowers, her now-legendary barbecues, camping, crocheting and, a recent addition to her many talents, the guitar.

Whitt leaves behind her parents, Sue and Bob; bar none by far her longest and most cherished friend, her brother Chad Germaine, who lives in Girdwood, Alaska; her sister, Lori Charlish of Portland, Ore.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her niece and nephews.

Whitt, you will be missed by many who knew and loved you.

There will be a gathering in honor of Whitt from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 at Cheers To You, 315 Main St., Salt Lake City.
