Government surveillance is out of control

August 13, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

I would love to ask the American citizens why they are allowing this once-free nation to become a nation of surveillance and spying? Do you people feel that it is alright for the government to see and record all USA citizens' phone calls, emails and every keystroke typed on the computer? This government is not for the people; in fact, this government is against the people.

If I were president, the first thing I would do would be to hold new elections for both the House and the Senate. The president can't do anything without Congress or the Senate. The president can invoke national security privilege and do anything he/she wants.

People, the fact that there are no checks and balances scares the hell out of me. You need to be equally afraid because our government has grown way too big! VOICE YOUR OPINIONS, PEOPLE!
