Proposed hotel is positive change

August 2, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

My husband and I retired to Saranac Lake about three years ago after vacationing in the area for more than 30 years.

We have witnessed a decline of business in town and believe the draw for new businesses is very limited. I think it is time for all residents of the area, regardless of being natural born or transplants, to support any endeavors to draw more people to our town.

There will always be pros and cons for any situation which we have witnessed time and again, but without continued progress our town will slowly disappear.

The new proposed hotel is a great start for positive change.

We cannot bring back the past, but can move to a future that will offer similar wonderful memories to the next generation.
