LAKE PLACID -The Post 326 Adirondacks baseball team won its own tournament, claiming two wins at the North Elba Show Grounds Field on June 22 and 23.
In the first game, Chris Clark tossed a three-hitter with 12 strikeouts to lead the Adirondacks team in the field to a 2-1 victory over North Lawrence. Clark also rapped out a single and RBI. Alex Brandes had a solid outing at the plate for the winners with two hits and an RBI.
Adirondacks then went on to earn a 3-1 win over Russell Post, of Vernon, which is a suburb of Utica. In that game, which secured the title, Ryan Trudeau turned in a shining effort on the mound. He allowed just four hits and struck out 11 batters.

The contest went down to the wire. With the score tied at 1-1 in the top of the seventh, Drew Sturgeon led off for Post 326 with a triple, and then reached home with the go-ahead run on a single by Ryan Damp, who then stole second. Clarke moved Damp to third on a bunt single, and Damp then scored on an RBI single by Trudeau.
Trudeau then sent Russell Post down in the bottom of the seventh to secure the win and the title for the Adirondacks team.
Post 326 Adironacks will be back in action at home this weekend for a pair of doubleheaders. On Saturday the team will play two games against Saratoga and then takes on South Troy Sunday. Action both days is slated to start at 2 p.m.
