The Lake Placid Institute has announced its Summer cocktail Party from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Whiteface Club and Resort Clubhouse.
There will be music by keyboardist Joey Izzo, drinks, hors d'oeuvres and a silent auction to benefit the Adirondack programs of the LPI.
This event is open to the public, with tickets at levels of Friends ($75), Patron ($150) and Benefactor ($250.
Bidders will vie for experiences and services like a round of golf for three at the Baltusrol Golf Club, a front row table for four with dinner and performance at Chris Noth's Cutting Room Club in New York City, roundtrip tickets for two from Lake Clear Airport to and from Nantucket Island and a cocktail party atop the Intervale K-120 meter Ski Jump Observation Deck, and an energy conservation analysis of your home or workplace by architect and LEED Green Associate Janet Mellor.
