SARANAC LAKE - Village Department of Public Works crews will be removing the sidewalk in front of the Harrietstown Town Hall on Tuesday, DPW Superintendent Jeff Dora said in an email.

The public will still have access to the building using the front doors, Dora said. The sidewalk contractor will be forming and pouring the new sidewalk on Wednesday and Thursday.

Starting Friday, the DPW will remove the portion of sidewalk on Margaret Street from the railroad tracks near Bloomingdale Avenue to the end of the current sidewalk.

Residents of Margaret Street are asked to not park along the curb in front of their homes or in their driveways, in the area being removed, between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The sidewalk removal should last no more than one week, Dora said. He said the contractor will be pouring the new sidewalks shortly after the removal work is complete.
