Police chief to speak on ‘Seniors & Fraud’

SARANAC LAKE - Chief Bruce Nason of the Saranac Lake Village Police Department will present "Seniors & Fraud" from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Saranac Village at Will Rogers, part of the seniors residence's "Road to Retirement Series."

The presentation will give people the chance to learn about some of the most recent scams carried out over the phone, in the mail and on the Internet. If you have been targeted by any recent scams, you are encouraged to come to share your stories and learn about how to avoid or report these incidents in the future.

The "Road to Retirement Series" features programs related to the challenges and opportunities of retiring, focusing on services and resources that can help people retire successfully and happily.

This program is free and open to the public, and a special discount will be offered to new residents who attend the program. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 518-891-7117.
