Adirondack Daily Enterprise
The Village of Saranac Lake Board of Trustees recognized standout North Country Community College men’s basketball player Steven Carder, second from left, holding plaque, his teammates and Saints head coach Chad LaDue, left, at Monday night’s village board meeting. Mayor Clyde Rabideau, center, read a proclamation commending Carder, who hails from Champlain, for becoming NCCC’s all-time leading scorer and rebounder, earning National Junior College Athletic Association All-American first-team honors, and being named player of the year for the Mountain Valley Conference, player of the year in Region III and junior college player of the year by the Basketball Coaches Association of New York. Also pictured are Carder’s teammates, Michael Boyea of Chateaugay and Steven Poulter of Australia.
