MALONE - A local man has pleaded guilty to selling drugs.

Ryan Morgan, 38, of Saranac Lake, was arrested in October during a series of raids at homes and apartment houses in the village conducted by the Franklin County Northern Border Narcotics Task Force.

Police said at the time of Morgan's arrest that he had sold cocaine and was found in possession of about 2 grams of the drug.

He was indicted on charges of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both felonies.

Morgan appeared before Franklin County Court Judge Robert Main Jr. Monday and pleaded guilty to the criminal sale charge.

He was remanded to the Franklin County Jail in Malone pending his sentencing on May 6.
