Jumbled piles of ice blocks, seen here Tuesday evening next to Lake Flower in Saranac Lake, are all that remain of the “Under the Sea”-themed Saranac Lake Winter Carnival Ice Palace, which village crews demolished earlier in the day. Even though Carnival ended on Feb. 10, the Palace stood for another 16 days and continued to draw curious visitors.
