Return from Mt. Marcy

Backcountry skier Leigh Walrath, of Saranac Lake, carves through powder Saturday afternoon on the Van Hoevenburg Trail near Indian Falls in the High Peaks Wilderness. Recent snow and the lack of any major warm-up have made for the best backcountry skiing conditions the area has seen since early January.
