Kindness after car crash

February 22, 2013
Adirondack Daily Enterprise

To the editor:

Here is another GREAT reason for living in a small community.

I was on my way home from swimming, with my five kids in the car, when the snow-covered roads got the best of us. We ended up halfway in a ditch near the Shamrock. I was able to use their phone. Those Shamrock ladies came out, helped me get my kids inside, gave us drinks and yummy fries, and were so kind. Roger from R&L Towing arrived, along with a woman state trooper. I was able to leave the Shamrock and attend to my truck knowing that my kids would be fine inside. Everyone was so professional and kind.

I know we did made the right decision to live and raise our family here! Life is much better when you know there are people around just waiting to help.
