TUPPER LAKE - Two local men pleaded guilty in Franklin County Court last week to trying to sell drugs.

Hall was originally charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fourth degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree.

By pleading guilty, Hall admitted to selling five suboxone pills to an undercover informant for $100 on May 19, 2011, in a Tupper Lake parking lot, according to the Franklin County District Attorney's Office. He was arrested in a drug sweep in June 2012.

He was sentenced to 180 days in Franklin County Jail and five years of probation. He also has to pay $100 in restitution, to cover the money paid for the drugs, and $2,500 in fines.

Whitley was originally charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fourth degree.

With his guilty plea, Whitley admitted to selling four hydrocodone pills to an undercover informant for $24 at an undisclosed location on March 15, 2012.

He was also arrested in the June 2012 drug sweep.

Whitley was sentenced to five years of probation, and he has to pay $24 in restitution and a $1,000 fine.
