SARANAC LAKE - The Paul Smith's College's alumni reunion during the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival parade is canceled due to weather issues, a college spokesman told the Enterprise Friday.
The reception had been scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. today under a heated tent in the Sears parking lot. It was free with a cash bar.
This would have been the second consecutive year the annual alumni reunion was held in the tent in the parking lot. Serving alcohol there required the village board to lift the village's open-container law for the event, which it did in October 2011.
