To the editor:
On Jan. 14 the 2013 Winter Carnival Court held its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser at the Belvedere Restaurant. Profits from this dinner are used to purchase the outfits and other necessities of the Court. We are pleased to report that this year's dinner was a resounding success. We certainly couldn't have done it without the help of a number of volunteers. We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge their efforts on our behalf.
First and foremost, we would like to thank Jerry Cavallo. His generosity with both his time and facility is very much appreciated. We would also like to thank the staff at the Belvedere Restaurant who volunteered time for us. Christine Tallman, Tom McGinnis, Heather McGinnis and Bob Bell were all helpful and patient with those of us who were amateurs at preparing meals and waiting tables. Our chamberlain, Chris Kollmer, and our archbishop, Kris Miemis, were also on hand to help us out. We are also grateful to Colleen Olson, who manages the take-out orders for us. Finally, we would like to express our deep and heartfelt thanks to the community that, no matter how hard the times or unpleasant the weather, always seems to find it in their hearts to come out and support us. We are thankful we live in such a caring community and we are proud to represent it as part of the Winter Carnival Court.
Once again, thank you to everyone who has been so generous in their support of us. We look forward to seeing you at all of the Winter Carnival events.
