MALONE (AP) - Authorities say a dozen people have been arrested after law enforcement officers from 10 local, state and federal agencies conducted drug raids in several northern New York communities.
State police say raids were conducted Wednesday in Franklin and St. Lawrence counties in Malone, Bombay, Westville, Fort Covington, Burke and Massena, with a total of nine people arrested. Three others were arrested Monday in Hogansburg, on the Canadian border.
Authorities say the suspects were selling heroin, cocaine or prescription drugs.
The St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Police Department, the U.S. Border Patrol and the Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake police departments were among the other law enforcement agencies that took part in the raids.
