The case is closed on a pharmacy burglary that occurred nearly four months ago in AuSable Forks.
Ray Brook-based state police charged Brian J. Blaise, 31, of Peru, with third-degree burglary, a class D felony, at 4 p.m. Friday. Blaise is the third and final suspect to be charged in connection with the Aug. 17 burglary at Feek Pharmacy, located on state Route 9N in downtown AuSable Forks.
"At this point, we've got everyone," state police Investigator Shawn Finn told the Enterprise.
Earlier this fall, two other suspects were arrested in connection with the incident: Justin Hicks, 25, of Keeseville, was taken into custody on Sept. 5 and charged with third-degree burglary and misdemeanor marijuana charges, and Sara Hebert, 23, of Chesterfield, was arrested on Sept. 7 and charged with third-degree burglary.
Finn said the trio gained access to the pharmacy by entering the building's second story, cutting a hole in the floor and dropping down into the first floor. The proceeded to steal several bottles of oxycodone.
Blaise was arrested following his release from Clinton County Jail on drug possession charges, Finn said.
Blaise was arraigned in Jay town court on the burglary charge and released to the custody of a family member.
